🏆Selection Process — Step by Step

1. JE: Tier I (2 hours, 200 questions for 200 marks — 100 on general awareness, reasoning, arithmetic, Hindi and English + 100 on the electrical subject; Tier I only shortlists for Tier II) then Tier II (2 hours, 150 questions for 200 marks, all on the subject; Tier II marks make the final merit list). MTS: single tier (200 questions in 2 hours for 200 marks, five sections of 40 marks each — general awareness, reasoning, arithmetic, Hindi and English; bilingual Hindi and English except the language papers). Negative marking: 0.25 marks off for each wrong answer on a one-mark question, 0.50 off on a two-mark question. Minimum qualifying marks: 40% for General and EWS, 35% for OBC (Delhi), 30% for SC, ST and PwBD; ex-servicemen get a 5% relaxation in their own category subject to a minimum of 30%. Then Medical Examination and Document Verification.

Each stage is qualifying — you must clear one stage to reach the next. Final merit is prepared as per the rules in the official notification.

How to Apply

1. Apply online only at https://dssbonline.nic.in from 12 Nov 2026 (12:00 noon) to 11 Dec 2026 (11:59 PM). At the e-dossier stage, pick at least one department/post preference; once confirmed it cannot be changed — if a department later finds the candidate ineligible for the picked post, the candidature for that post code is rejected and no other department is offered. Recent clear colour photograph with plain white or off-white background, full face and front view, eyes open; blurred or illegible photograph or signature leads to rejection. Apply well before the last date; the portal slows down in the closing days and no excuse about heavy load is accepted.
